I’m releasing almost my entire backlogged catalogue out into the world (rather than just more privately as I have been) the next 12 months or so. Likely 100+ tracks, or in that ballpark.
In a time like we are in, with the political swirling around us, art matters even more than ever—not less. I take this seriously.
I’ll be releasing across three projects:
First, a returned focus to my roots as a poetic-folk singer-songwriter, with a big nod to Joni Mitchell with whom I share a hometown.
Will be re-releasing new edits of most of my older songs and recorded poetry, as well as songs from the record label days, and a new catalogue about Saskatchewan, the complicated relationship many of us have with our homes, and some Joni covers.
Can’t wait! Here:
Gregorian chant, hymns, devotional songs, and audio Rosaries in Latin & English set to sacred compositions, as well as dance remixes with veteran DJ Robbie Rivera here:
Some high energy electro pop songs, including the full SONGS FOR THE APOCALYPSE album released in a “waterfall” style. These songs are CLEAN, family-appropriate, but without sacrificing any quality. Not kids music, but nothing that will undermine their innocence. Thematically based on apocalyptic themes, a call to joy and victory in a time of crisis, and a ton of literary references. The catalogue is tiny right now but will be growing substantively even in the next few weeks:
Something for everyone! I’d love to hear what you think. I don’t expect everyone to like every project (although some of you do and will), but the goals behind them all is the same from a few directions that all of you here will be on board with:
Do the thing in my heart to do as an artist that I can never escape: creating beautiful, real things for the world using melodies and words.
Bring peace, light, truth, and humanity into your hearts and minds in a time of serious upheaval.
Offer serious alternatives to so much of what we are drowned out in the mainstream culture, free of the ideology that threatens to swallow everything.
Contribute to building a world that respects childhood innocence in the public sphere.
I’m so grateful for your support and interest in my work!
The music is just one part.
Thank you for being here! You make a huge difference as I work to build up the reach of these projects.
xx,
Kay
Following and saving the projects you’re interested in at the links above also goes a long way, as does sharing with a friend or family member!
If you’d like to support my work and allow me to continue to create, sing, compose, share, write, publish, teach, mentor, and build serious infrastructure for a new entertainment world:
The best thing you can do to support me directly and have access to the things I share early and privately with my community is learn more about my work and become a member here. We kept the yearly price super low to make it as accessible to as many people as possible, which was really important to me. Y
